The winemaker

At Can Bas we know that wine starts in the vineyard and it is the winemaker who decides how it is to be worked, depending on the features of each plot, environmental conditions, the needs of each grape variety and the characteristics of each vintage.

At Can Bas we believe that the winemaker must have a light touch in the winery. He or she must limit themself to monitoring the grapes during harvesting and ensuring the necessary conditions at all times so that yeasts and bacteria can turn the must into wine. Consequently, minimal use is made of wine-making products in the winery.

At Can Bas, what the winemaker does with our wines must be in line with principles of delicacy and respect for the end product. Our goal is for the wines of Can Bas to express the qualities of the terroir and the personality of the estate.
